    For the midterm, is it going to be multiple choice with a scantron or is it strictly blue book as you had mentioned in class? If it does involve a scantron, what color? Additionally, is there slide identification and are the images you noted as potentially writing an essay about them, are they comparative or explanatory? Thanks!

      The Test is strictly Blue Book.

      There will be art identification via powerpoint slides. These will be taken from the Study Guides. Items marked by a star on the study guides require more detail and are to be considered for essays.

      Essays depend on the essay. Some are comparative, others are explanatory. The questions will make it clear which the essay is intended to be.

      Midterm will be given in class on 2/25/13.

      Dating will be more important on the Final Exam.

      For the Midterm, pay particular attention to star marked items for the most detail.

      Otherwise, very few pieces at this point have specific dates, so time periods, locations, materials, and subject will be more important important.

    You said the identification will be taken directly from the Study Guides. I assume this means any extraneous images/artists on the powerpoint that are not listed on the Study Guides will not be covered on the test, or am I mistaken?

      Yes. While many images are on the study guide physically, others are on by title or subject.

      The images and terms on the study guides are all fair game for the misterm.
